Culture

Park City is famed for its vast array of cultural offerings throughout the year. The renowned Sundance Film Festival is a ten-day event every January attended by celebrities, independent filmmakers, media and entertainment industry moguls. The Park City Performing Arts Foundation attracts nationally-known music acts to the Eccles Center in the winter and Deer Valley Resort’s extraordinary outdoor amphitheater in the summer where the Utah Symphony and Opera conduct multiple performances. Theater enthusiasts are treated to high caliber plays, musicals and concerts at the intimate Egyptian Theatre on Main Street. The Kimball Art Center is Park City’s hub of visual arts with rotating art exhibits and events and hosts the annual Arts Festival, one of the largest in the intermountain west. Other staple events include the Park City Arts Festival in August, the Park Silly Sunday Market from June to October, the Park City Food & Wine Classic in July and the revelry of the July 4th and Miner’s Day (Labor Day) parades. Savor the Summit is a community dining event hosted by many of the local restaurants in the middle of Main Street that kicks off the summer season in late June.
