Superinsulation

Echo Spur’s superinsulation strategy combined with mechanical ventilation systems is the most effective “Green” investment in driving down energy costs. Our goal is to allow the homeowner to completely control the amount of outside air entering the interior of the home, as opposed to traditional homes which tend to be very “leaky,” resulting in a large percentage of heating and cooling costs being sucked out into the atmosphere.

Think of this another way: You wouldn’t go skiing in the Wasatch Mountains on a cold January day without being properly “insulated.” You also wouldn’t head out on a summer bike ride without sun protection and eyewear. So why would you not utilize the proper technology – at the right price – to give your home the same consideration?

The result is exterior walls that are tightly packed with modern insulation. You won’t see rolls of pink fiberglass in these homes; our homes are almost “sealed” and the air flow is tightly controlled. Homes built in this manner have been known to hold their heat when the power is out for several days  even when its below freezing outside.
